Remains of the Day
I’m in the kitchen after
dinner. The dishes are on
the counter ready to be cleaned. But
before I scrape the food scraps into the compost bucket, I grab my camera and
take a few shots of the leftovers on them.
These images then become digital templates for playing with filters and
color. They are also exercises in
composition, mixing it up, as it were. I never change what's on a plate before I take the pictures, so there is an element of serendipity in the searching and seeing.
